Why take a guide?

Taking a guide adds a new dimension to a walk in Cradle Mountain National Park. Your guide will transform your walk into a rich learning experience. You will become aware of the many wonders of the World Heritage Area. Our guides will introduce the area’s unique geology, plant and animal life. Learn how to identify edible plants, animal tracks and marvel at the achievements of early pioneers.

For your convenience, our guides will provide transport to and from the walking trail. As guides, we are aware that the weather in the alpine areas of the park can be changeable. To heighten the occasion, our guides will serve tea, coffee, hot chocolate and light refreshments at a special scenic spot.

For your safety, and to allow you to enjoy the park all year round, we will also provide you with wet weather gear including wind- and waterproof pants and jackets, polar fleece jackets, gloves and beanies. Our intimate knowledge of the National Park, our training and safety precautions provide peace of mind for those venturing into the remoter areas of the World Heritage Area.
