Woolmers Estate

Woolmers Estate is situated near Longford, 25 minutes south of Launceston. The Estate has outstanding cultural significance, having an unbroken history of six generations of occupation by the Thomas Archer family. Woolmers stands as a record of the changes of the Tasmanian rural lifestyle from the time the land was first settled circa 1817 to the death of the last heir in 1994. View the spectacular National Rose Garden, featuring one of the finest and most extensive collections of historic roses in the Southern Hemisphere. Stop for a light lunch or morning or afternoon tea in the Servants Kitchen restaurant. Nearby is Brickendon, with its working heritage farm giving a fascinating insight into 19th century rural life.

Launceston is the ideal base to explore Northern Tasmania. For award-winning accommodation with full facilities near Launceston in a tranquil setting, please click here for further information about Country Club Tasmania.
